About the Journal
It is a great honour for me to invite you to the Central European Conference on Logistics 2026 (CECOL 2026), which will take place from 5–7 October 2026 at Hotel Palota**** in Lillafüred.
The conference is held biennially, and this year the current trends in different areas of logistics will be in focus – including digitalisation, the application of artificial intelligence, sustainability issues, as well as a newly established section on dangerous goods logistics. The event will provide an excellent opportunity for logistics professionals to establish new contacts, present research results and exchange experiences.
The main organisers of the conference are the Logistics Institute of the University of Miskolc and the Logistics Department of the Scientific Society for Mechanical Engineering.
The official language of the conference is English, but it is also possible to give lectures in Hungarian and German. In all cases, we kindly ask that the presentation materials be prepared in English.
Within the framework of the conference, the participants of the VISEGRAD GRANT no. 22510249 – Development of educational materials regarding the application of AI in the field of logistics project will present the results achieved within the project in dedicated sections, which are closely related to the conference topics.
In addition to the presentations, we provide the opportunity to publish the achieved results. A collection of the best papers will be evaluated by Springer for publication in one of their book series (e.g. Lecture Notes in Logistics, indexed by SCOPUS). Peer-reviewed publications not meeting the strictest quality criteria will be published in the international journal Advanced Logistics Systems – Theory and Practice.
We look forward to welcoming you to Miskolc among the participants of the conference.
On behalf of the Organising Committee and the International Scientific Committee:
