Automatic Gesture Generation

Abstract

The usage of virtual agents make necessary to produce natural motions and gestures. The paper introduces a novel solution which generates vertical head motion from the speech. The method uses neural networks for estimating the positions of the head. The outputs of the proposed algorithm have validated by human feedback. The results show that the naturalness of the generated motions is similar to the original ones.
