Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discuss the state-of-the-art in visual workflow editing tools for scientific applications in distributed and grid computing for the e-Sciences. The structure of the research behind this paper was a large-scale review of literature on several work-flow editing tools. These tools were then installed and used to be able to contrast the literature with a user experience. The outcomes are recommendations towards bettering workflow editor interfaces and indications for further research.
