Interpretation of the provision of the Fundamental Law declaring the right to a healthy working environment in the light of the European Union legislation and the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court

The present article deals with the legal concept of the right to healthy working environment in connection with the Hungarian Constitution and the European Union (EU) law. This study first examines those articles of the Hungarian Fundamental Law which are about the right to healthy working environment and which are in connection with that. The novelty of this article is that it presents the constitutional regulations of this right in comparison with the national constitutions of the Member States of the EU. Then it reviews how this right appears in the EU law and in the practice of the Constitutional Court of Hungary.
