Abstract

The paper tries to introduce an epicyclic traction drive containing one or more helical springs as basic element. Our goal is to assure the necessary normal forces between the contacting surfaces, proportionally to the external loads. Some suitable mechanical models were used to obtain the solution of the elasticity problem with the necessary accuracy.
