Abstract

University of Miskolc coordinates several large projects providing cooperation between the university and industry in various fields of materials sciences. The current paper introduces the latest results obtained in three subprojects realized in cooperation between the experts of the Institute of Materials Science and Technology and the Robert Bosch Energy and Body Systems Ltd. (Miskolc, Hungary). The presented topics – Materials selection for improving the injection mouldability of fan wheel; Development of electrically conductive lubricants for rolling bearings; Improving the wear resistance of polymer components by active screen plasma nitriding – both represent basic research issues. The obtained results can contribute to work out new products and technologies, based on which the industrial partner can expand its portfolio with competitive market products to meet the ever-increasing demands on automotive components, while increasing durability and reliability, as well.
