Abstract

The IfL Leibnitz Institute has organized a project closing conference from the 27th to the 29th of September 2017 in Leipzig, with the title of Coping with uneven development in Europe: Socioeconomic and political responses to regional polarisation. The topic of the conference was the analysis of regional polarization and uneven development. The lecturers of the University of Miskolc Faculty of Economics have presented their results in the section titled Uneven development in numbers. The authors of this study investigate the impact of the 2008 crisis on household incomes and their net wealth positions. They also examine options of restoring household incomes in Visegrad countries based on the data of NUTS-2 level territorial units.
