Jelen tanulmányban a szerzők a környezetvédelemmel kapcsolatos stratégiák tartalmi elemeit vizsgálták, a változók a körforgásos gazdaság szakirodalmában lefektetett keretrendszer alapján kerültek kiválasztásra. A kutatási eredmények arra engedtek következtetni, hogy azok a vállalatok, amelyek a környezeti célokat figyelembe veszik, elismerésre tesznek szert, értékteremtővé válnak. A főváros-vidék vizsgálatánál megállapítható, hogy a vidéki vállalatoknál nagyobb a hangsúly a környezeti célorientáltságon és ezzel igyekeznek ellensúlyozni a főváros erőteljes szerepét.
