Gear couplings are used to eliminate the misalignments of the connected shafts. Most important components of the gear coupling are the hub and the sleeve. The hub is an external gear having crowned teeth. The sleeve is an internal spur gear. Both gears have equal number of teeth. In this paper the manufacturing methods are presented for the hub and sleeve and mathematical models are investigated for the tooth surfaces of both components.
