Abstract

As the Prison Code came into effect on 1 st January 2015, it is now possible to evaluate its accomplishments. Some might say that this brief period is simply
insufficient for obtaining the practical experiences required to make universal claims or point out trends. As a two-year-period is quite short in the life of an act indeed, this statement is by no means beyond reason. Nevertheless, the novelty and the importance of the changes introduced by the Prison Code still allows for a brief summary.
