Abstract

Students studying environmental engineering have chosen to protect the environment as a profession. Their aim is to protect their environment and save it from pollution. The main goal of our investigation is to find out how much they are aware of the fact that their own immediate environment includes themselves. We also examine whether they care about their own health or if they protect themselves against various chemicals like they do with their bigger environment. Students undertaking studies in this science were requested to fill in an anonymous survey regarding their habits in relation to their own health awareness, their tendency for and ways of self-contamination. Finally measurements were taken and correlation between the measured values and students’ habits were looked for.
