Abstract

This article concerns the dynamical behaviour of a special circular saw blade operated by a rail-cutting machine. The dynamics, the eigenfrequencies and the stimulating frequencies are investigated, hence the vibrations of the circular saw blade of the machine is analysed. In this way we may draw some conclusions on the quality of the cutted surface. Since postflow has extra cost, precise cutting is expected already for the first trial. Vibrations coming from the cutting process may cause inaccurate manufacturing and, besides, may as well influence the lifetime of the saw-blade.
