Abstract

In the case of system with a medium flow, the occurring pressure rise must be controlled to ensure the safety of our structure. This prevents overpressure failures (leakage, breakage, explosion, etc.), or accidents. If the system is not provided in accordance with the regulations and parameters, it can have severe, catastrophic consequences. In connection with this, in this paper a system had been investigated with a determined operation temperature and pressure, for which a safety assembly had been chosen after some preliminary calculations. Due to the load during the blow-down, the valve connector's stump is subjected to bending stress, which requires inspection of the stump.
