Abstract

The paper shows comparing of two cutting inserts used for face milling, with help of cutting experiments. Inserts are very similar to each other, differ only in the form of tip geometry. Amplitude parameters of machined surface roughness are the bases of the compare. Aim of the paper is to determine that which insert - insert with tip radius or with bevel line (fasette) – provides better results.
