Abstract

The literature focuses on the topic of vehicle arrivals in terms of flight and flight planning. An accurate knowledge of vehicle arrivals is important when operating warehouses, as they affect warehouse processes where continuous optimization of waiting times and associated costs is a critical task. I have described a method whereby the time of arrival of the vehicle can be more precisely determined by the application of modern technical tools and I have set up a mathematical model controlling this process. By continuously comparing the arrival time of the vehicles, I have developed an algorithm for the dynamic assignment of the vehicles to the time gates, which is suitable for increasing the efficiency of warehouse processes.
