Abstract

The aim of this research work is to investigate the effect of diamond burnishing on 3D roughness parameters in case of low-alloy aluminum material. The article presents the burnishing parameters (burnishing force, feed rate, speed, and number of passes) examined at 3 levels, as well as the change of the geometric structure through the examination of 3 roughness parameters. The results could make it possible to better understand the processes taking place during burnishing and in terms of industrial use, it could help reduce time and costs of machining by determining more effectively the setting parameters.
