"On the road to the world" - but where are we really heading to?

Abstract

The number of students at the University of Miskolc, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics, has been declining over the last decade. This has and will have a serious impact on the life of the university. The purpose of this article is to present the current situation as well as to investigate the factors that influence the decline of students number. Knowing the situation, we may have the opportunity to develop a concept that can help reduce or reverse this trend.
