Application experiences of the GTIPROG/EC operation planning and NC/CNC programming system

Abstract

The main objective of the GTIPROG (Geometry and Technology Interactive PROGramming) system-family is to help in solving of task planning programming of manufacturing of operations which belong to the functions of the Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) systems. The GTIPROG/EC prepared for NC-CNC lathe and turning centre and can be run on IBM PCs. The article presents the selections of the turning, drilling and milling operations that can be used in the system, the way of their geometrical description, their motion cycles and their application possibilities.
