The main results of the face milling research

Part 1: Examination of the cutting force

Abstract

One of the most productive and efficient procedures of machining flat surfaces is face milling, as it is able to remove material from the workpiece at a high speed while producing a high-quality machined surface. For this reason, the main topic of much research is face milling, one of the most important research directions is the prediction/determination of cutting forces. In this paper, I summarize the results of this research area published in the literature.
