Abstract

In the 1st part, the literature on the research of cutting force in the field of face milling was presented, this paper describes further, comprehensive research results of face milling. Summarizing the results published in the literature, the following research areas are presented in this section: examination of surface roughness, its relationship with technological data, methods of its prediction; examination of shape error of milled surfaces; methods of determining optimal cutting parameters and their application.
