Abstract

The regulation of unmanned aircraft in our country has been a long time coming. Following the entry into force of EU regulations in 2019, there was an urgent need to issue national legislation. Several years of codification work have preceded the process that will settle the rules on the categorisation and use of unmanned aircraft. The new regulations have introduced significant changes that regulate use and oblige the user to comply with the rules in order to maintain an adequate level of aviation safety. The new rules have fundamentally changed the way drones are used. And the future will be built on the consolidated foundations of these rules, with the designers, builders, users, financiers and legislators of unmanned aircraft working together to help each other.
