Abstract

The environmental responsibilities in a company are linked on the one hand the development of corporate strategy, on the other hand, everyday tasks. Apart from the choice of production, the most important decision is the right choice of engineering technology, because the technology defines clearly the type and the extent of environmental pollutants. Nowadays, the environmental value of each technology gets a great role. The environmental protection takes a main place in the processes of the industry. We can determine the environmental effects of the different technologies primarily using of impact assessment methods, environmental indicators and environmental management. The comparison of the performance of the technological alternatives is not an easy task by compliance with the environmental requirements, but it can be enhanced to support multicriteria decision and assessment methods.
