Past, present and future of the Forming Group in the field of education ans research

Abstract

In this paper, I would like to give an overview of the main stages of the nearly fifty-year history of the Forming Group of the Department of Material Engineering at the Institute of Materials Engineering and Technology. I will also summarize the challenges faced by the industry because of the changes in the industrial environment and the regime changes, also describing the subsequent changes in the education. I will finally write about the directions and trends we are currently taking and what are our prospects for the ever-changing competition for education, research and innovation.
