This paper deals with dynamical modelling of main drives of machine tools combined with belt drive in Simulink environment. The former models of free belts are substituted with the vibration system of the belt parts that are situated along the pulley - resulting in a rather difficult problem in the mathematics as well. According to the measurement results, we can easily see that the different types of belt drives show rather different dynamical behaviours that is maybe the reason why this aforementioned possible substitution is necessary to have. This way, we have the possibility to derive more punctual/ real behaviour than the earlier models have with analysing the obtained, new type, substituted system. Using this model can be useful in the design phase and contain some design parameters in the aspects of the dynamic behaviour of the driveline.
