Abstract
The main objective of the present paper is the determination of the stresses and displacements in layered circular cylindrical bodies, which are caused by thermal and mechanical loadings. The problem considered is axisymmetric, therefore the stresses and the temperature field are independent of the axial coordinate. The temperature field and the corresponding thermal stresses are determined by utilizing the equations of the steady state heat conduction and thermo-elasticity. The analytical solution is obtained under the assumption that the body is in generalized plane strain state.
