Abstract

Meeting the dynamically changing needs of customers’ demands, the development of Industry 4.0 capabilities for companies engaged in production and service activities in order to increase efficiency and expand their capacity. These goals require digitization, strengthening the integration of technologies, and widespread deployment of cloud-based services. This revolution is becoming incredibly popular among companies and affects the business world in three main areas: Through the integration of horizontal/vertical value chains, through the digitization of products and services, and the development of the digital business model and customer relationships. In this article, we present the material and information flow processes that take place in a smart factory operating according to the principles of Industry 4.0.
