Abstract

Simulation techniques have been available for decades and are constantly evolving. Within the principles of Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0, newer simulation techniques play an important role, not only depicting reality as closely as possible, but already having a direct real-time connection to improve the decision-making of a system. To apply these principles in reality, we need a generalized model from which a manufacturing system can be mapped. In the present work, we made a simulation study based on our model of the internal logistics system of an existing factory, which focuses primarily on the distribution of employees by task and the review of the vehicle fleet.
