Nowadays, the spread of Industry 4.0, IoT (Internet of Things) and IIot (Industrial IoT) technologies is an increasingly important aspect in the industry. Every step of the production process is monitored by sensors, the measured values are stored in databases, so the production process can be analyzed either on the fly or later on the basis of archived data. This data contains important information for the quality system on the one hand and for maintenance on the other. In these systems, difficulties can be caused by conventional analog instruments, the measured values of which are not available in digital form. If these instruments and displays cannot be replaced with a digital version - or at least with an electronic output - then their integration into a data collection system is difficult or impossible. This paper presents a possible solution to this problem.
