Application of automated guided vehicles from Industry 4.0 point of view

Abstract

Logistics costs are a very important factor for a production company to be competitive. Constantly reducing these costs and optimizing processes is an inescapable task that also provides a permanent opportunity to reduce costs through the introduction of newer and newer technologies. One of the directions for optimization is the use of new technologies, one of the best examples of which today is the proliferation of driverless forklifts. In this publication, we intend to summarize the application aspects of these devices, taking into account the principles of Industry 4.0.
