Abstract

Establishment of logistics science has close relation to thousand years of development of materials handling activities. There was a long process from the basic material handling activities (loading-transport-storage), across the integrated management of the production and the market, till the present complex management of material- and information flows. Logistics applies and utilizes the elements of existing science fields to manage material and information flows, that the material- and information flows could be planned, controlled, verified, improved and operated. The main relations of logistics processes, typical types of information flows and information relations of network like logistics controlling can be identified. The electrical market place will be described through logistics development tendencies.
