Some designing questions of a portable forge

Abstract

Forging is an increasingly recurring occupation these days, which is now not only a profession of full value, but also a popular hobby because of the large number and easy availability of information and educational materials. There was a need, primarily among hobby blacksmiths, for a structure that would bring together the basic tools needed for forging, so that they could be moved and transported together, as easily as possible. The paper deals with some design problems of a portable forge.
