Solving of integrated production scheduling and shift-assignment problems

Abstract

The paper describes the solution of an integrated production scheduling and shift-assignment problem. The main characteristic of the problem is that the operation of assembly lines and component-part manufacturing machines must be coordinated by generating appropriate schedules. In addition, it is needed to solve an integrated task of scheduling and shift-assignment. The paper presents the main features of the problem and the approach of the developed solving method.
