Abstract

The spouts already are manufactured from hard PVC on environment- friendly in Hungary today. There is a problem, that the could resistance is too lower, that is the reason the pipes break very often in the wintertime Preparation and characterization of novel rigid poly(vinyl-chloride)[PVC] - short carbon fiber[CF] composites are reported. Specimens were produced by different carbon fiber content. They were cooled at different temperatures, and we measured the amount of impact energy. We found that low carbon fiber content also significantly increases the impact resistance of plastic. 2% carbon fiber intake improves the cold-shock resistance well.
