Abstract

In this research, the effect of milling time on the properties of injection-molded ceramic products was investigated, as one of the most important technological steps in the ceramic industry is to adjust the appropriate particle size distribution of raw materials. In our experiments, corundum-frit mixtures milled for different periods of time (1 and 2 hours) were tested. Mixtures without milling were prepared as reference materials. The slurry was made using paraffin and oleic acid. Morphology, particle size distribution, bulk density, water absorption, porosity, and compressive strength tests were performed to characterize the products.
