Characteristics of the measurement of both sustainable development and social innovation

Abstract

We summarize the characteristics of the measurement of both sustainable development and social innovation. We found that there is a lack of scientific research about how social innovation could contribute to the achievement of the sustainable development goals or how it could affect the values of the sustainable development indicators. This study aims at investigating the relationships between indicators of social innovation potential and those of sustainable growth in Hungary and in the Visegrad Group by applying statistical methods. Also, this study analyses the relationships and differences between these two factors in Hungary and the V4 countries.
