Abstract

In the study, I dealt with the capture of CO2 based on mineral carbonation on the metallurgical slag sample material. During the studies, I investigated the effect of mechanical activation on carbonation. Mechanical activation and CO2 sequestration were performed in one step in a planetary mill, where the size of the grinding balls, the rotation speed of the mill, and the grinding time were varied. The change in the results' evaluations, the changes in dispersion were examined by laser particle size analysis and the structural changes by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD).
