Abstract

The study reflects the property of semiconductor solar cells that their performance loss over the years may exceed the level guaranteed by the manufacturer. Rapid aging as well as premature failure can be caused by improper operation or even an increase in manufacturing defects after commissioning. Depending on the nature of the damage and its extent, it may be visible to the naked eye, but many failures remain unnoticeable. Electroluminescent testing effectively reveals latent damages.
