The design of a suspension test bench

Abstract

The subject of this article is the conceptual and constructional design of a suspension test bench, designed for the analysis of motorcycle’s rear suspension. During the analysis, the suspension test bench moves an artificial obstacle under the examined wheel, simulating the motorcycles passing through uneven road surfaces. The possible ways of how to move the obstacle under the analysed wheel and their comparison were important parts of the design.
