Abstract

This paper presents the Life Cycle Assessment of Power Plants. The environment impact factors of power plants are different through the applied energy sources. The renewable energy source has less carbon-footprint and the fossil abiotic depletion potential is favorable. The capacity of photovoltaic power plants gradually growing in the Hungarian Grid thus, the power plant background undergoes a gradual transformation. Thanks to the environmentally friendly electricity provided by photovoltaic power plants, the environmental impact has been reduced.
