In the spring of 2022, the Institute for People-Environment Transaction at ELTE PPK conducted a representative survey on the pro-environmental behaviours of the Hungarian population. The survey explored the frequency of different pro-environmental behaviours that can be applied in everyday life, the areas in which people plan to make their lifestyles more environmentally friendly in the near future, and the areas in which they consider it easy or difficult to make their lifestyles more environmentally friendly. In addition, the study also sought to identify the perceived barriers that Hungarian adults face in relation to greening their lifestyles. The key message from the results is that the intention to protect the environment is overwhelmingly evident among the Hungarian population, but people are open to positive environmental changes in different areas and to varying degrees.
