Az igazságszolgáltatáshoz való hatékony hozzáférés biztosítása olyan, a jogrendszer egészének működése szempontjából meghatározó követelmény, amelynek érvényesülését válsághelyzetekben is fokozottan garantálni kell. A jelen tanulmány áttekintést kíván adni azokról a nemzetközi és európai standardokról, ajánlásokról és gyakorlatokról, amelyek a világjárvány idején ebben az összefüggésben megjelentek. Az igazságszolgáltatáshoz való hatékony hozzáférést szolgáló intézmények adaptálhatóságának ilyen általános vizsgálata hozzájárulhat olyan perjogi megoldások kidolgozásához, amelyek révén korábban nem tapasztalt válsághelyzetekben is biztosítható a jogérvényesítés hatékonysága.
