Selection and potential applications of Artificial Intelligence in logistics

Abstract

Nowadays, systems with artificial intelligence are all around us, yet there are areas where they are not used, or are used only occasionally. One of these areas is logistics. Although self-driving vehicles have been around for a long time, and fully autonomous vehicles are spreading rapidly, apart from this, there is no other area of logistics where artificial intelligence plays significant role. This article explores the forms of artificial intelligence and their usability in logistics, primarily in the field of internal logistics. Data and parameters that are worth collecting and preparing for an AI are also defined, so that useful information, predictions and unexpected connections between processes can be discovered with it.
