Abstract

The new Hungarian Code of Civil Procedure entered into force on 1 January 2018. The first comprehensive amendment took place within three years of its entry into force, the main reason being the elimination of difficulties or uncertainties surrounding the application of the new rules in case law, as well as the promotion of the parties' right to go to court. The focus of the present study is on the analysis of the rules of proof: the provisions set out in amending Act has been amended in connection with the evidence, and we will also address issues raised by the case law that are not affected by the amending law.
