The effects of wrongful convictions on people’s personalities, in particular in the Balla case

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out the causes that led to the judicial murder and the study of the effects of these on the personality. The main question of the research is that how

can such serious verdicts take place and what are their psychological consequences whether lately the innocence of the convicted turns out. The administration of justice has the ability to self-correction, although it is impossible to avoid the negative effects on the personality. In connection with the Balla case, the in -depth interview certified, that the enormous pressure of the media, the public outrage and the investigative mistakes led to the mistrial. It would be really important that the investigative authority and the court could stay independent of these.
