Abstract

My study aims to present the legal regulation of the fur industry in the light of sustainable animal welfare. The focus of the problematic is the regulation of the European Union. The study takes as its starting point the hypothesis that the dilemmas that arise in relation to the legal, social, economic and environmental aspects of sustainability are in many cases interrelated. Based on this line of thinking, I will examine the regulation of the fur industry in the light of animal welfare legislation, EU and national social sustainability issues and economic interests, including the environmental interface.
