High Treason Suits in the Principality of Transylvania

Abstract

The study presents the high treason suits in the Principality of Transylvania and their characteristics and changes. Of course, it does not detail each high treason suit, but would like to give an idea of ​​the evolution of this type of suit. It examines how the Transylvanian princes used these suits to discipline the nobility. It shows how the course of suits, prosecutions and convictions, and their enforcement, have changed. It also discusses the relationship between the strength of state order and these suits.
