The article focuses on the key issues of the Eperjes Executive Court of 1687, tracing its process and consequences. It provides a characterization of the victims and the judges, including General Caraffa himself. It pays equal attention to the accusations, verdicts, and goals of the trial. It concludes with a discussion of the memories of the Eperjes Executive Court: the places of executions and burial of victims, and the memorial to the victims.
