During the Aster Revolution, Count István Tisza being a Member of Parliament and former Prime Minister was assassinated on October 31, 1918, by persons in military uniform, in which he lost his life. The main trial for the murder at the court-martial began on August 2, 1920. The judgment at first instance was delivered on 15 September 1920. Approximately out of ten perpetrators, four defendants were indicted who were, according to the charge, actually in military service at the time of the act and when initiating criminal proceedings. Three of them were found guilty of hired murder.
