Abstract

The Criminal Procedure Act, which entered into force on 1 July 2018, preserved the proven solutions, but introduced some new legal institutions and concepts in order to meet the national and international requirements. The modifications didn’t avoid the coercive measures either. In the present study we cannot undertake a detailed analysis of the new rules, comparing them with the previous (repealed) provisions. Our aim is only to present one group of the coercive measures, namely coercive measures concerning personal liberty, in a systematic way.
