In Hungary, the 1848 law governing ministerial responsibility was in force for a hundred years. Under the law, ministers could only be prosecuted by Parliament, including for crimes they had committed. In a hundred years, five prime ministers have been sentenced to death, but always by special courts and not by Parliament. In my study, I look at what judgments could have been handed down in the proceedings conducted by Parliament. That is why I chose the subtitle "a historical fiction", as it is about trials that did not take place in reality.
